My Favorite Things: Getting Sketchy #206

How are your holiday cards going? This is my second, so for me, it's going slowwwwly. Great news, I am BEYOND excited that my snowman card won me a gift certificate to My Favorite Things, YAY! My wishlist is soooo long over there! I'm playing with their sketch again this week, and again, I used only MFT Stamps and Dies:

Janet Perafan-Babar Card: My Favorite Things Die-namics Modern Morocco, Die-namics Tag Talk, Die-namics Stitched Scallop Edges, Die-namics Snowflake Splendor & Stamp Set

The large snowflake is embossed in silver. This was for the Just Us Girls Sparkle Challenge and City Crafter's Glittering Snowflakes Challenge. The color Scheme came from The Card Concept. The photo inspired me to use the "For You" sentiment, since it was hot chocolate being served to someone. Also, the layered frost cookies inspired the layered snowflakes:

Here is the My Favorite Things Sketch....awesome!!:

I really like the way the Moroccan die was used in the sketch interpretation. I just trimmed the tiles to suit the size. And I love Die-namics Stitched Scallop Edge Die Set. It was last month's freebie when you order over $60 at mftstamps.com. Let's hope you get as hooked as I am! Thanks for stopping by, have a great nite. Hugs and Happy Scrappin'!!!!

Lawnscaping Challenge: White on White

So tonight I wanted to play with some paper and glue. I found the Lawn Fawn Challenge Blog. The challenge was White-on-White and was ending just before midnight. I figured I can pull it off in time, but in the end I was having trouble with Photobucket and of course, missed the deadline by just minutes. I am bummed.

Janet Perafan-Babar | Lawn Fawn: Stitched Journaling Card Die, Scripty Thanks Die, Blue Skies Dies; #lawnfawn #lawnfawnstamps

Sticking with the monochromatic scheme, I die cut the Stitched Journaling Card Die , Scripty Thanks Die, and the banner from the Blue Skies Die Set out of various white cardstocks. Flower sequins are from the Hello Sunshine Mixed Sequins Pack.

I took sketch inspiration from the CAS(E) this Sketch #102 Challenge:

I think the CAS sketch was a perfect fit for the Lawn Fawn dies I had in my stash. Nice and clean. Love when things work out like that, LOL, because I really don't own a lot of LF dies. Hope your week so far is great, and thanks so much for visiting. Hugs and Happy Scrappin'!!!!

My Favorite Things: Getting Sketchy #205

Hi there! Today's card comes from the Muse Challenge #96 and the My Favorite Things Sketch. Supplies are exclusively MFT Stamps.

Janet Perafan-Babar | My Favorite Things: Die-namics Polka Dot Cover-Up, Die-namics Pinking Edge Circle STAX, Die-namics Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX, Die-namics Let It Snowflake, Pure Innocence Holiday Hugs Snowman; #mftstamps

Here is the Muse Inspiration - Vicki Dutcher (how fab is this card?!!). I loved it and took as much inspiration as I could: the white on red polka dots, the red, white, black, kraft and green color combo, the dimensional dots, and the stitched frames (I used pierced banners).

The sketch I followed:

I was also inspired to use a Christmas/Holiday theme for Simon Says Stamp's Work it Wednesday and Wednesday Challenge.

My Favorite Things products can be found at mftstamps.com or simonsaysstamp.com. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and Happy Scrappin'!!!!
